The AUSTRALIAN PROTECTIONIST PARTY WA (INC) will enshrine the protection of the Australian environment, including national parks, waterways, the surrounding oceans and our atmosphere in legislation. There will be no debt-for-equity swap to trade part of the national debt with the IMF/ World Bank for Western Australia's national parks.

The AUSTRALIAN PROTECTIONIST PARTY WA (INC) opposes the sale of our National Parks and any and all foreign control over Australian environmental policy.

We will:

[1] Not allow Western Australia to be used as a dumping ground for foreign nuclear, biological or chemical waste.

[2] Impose an environmental protection duty on difficult to dispose of items so that they can be a removed from the environment or recycled where possible.

[3] Press for environmentally friendly product packaging.

[4] Protect and expand our remaining old growth forests.

[5] Assist in re-afforestation of unused cleared and arid land to reclaim the forests that once covered Australia.

[6] Encourage the protection and re-use (e.g. domestic greywater) of our most valuable resource, water.

[7] Ensure that all Western Australia's drinking water is safe, and free from the poisonous chemical fluoride.

[8] Put priority funding towards the development of Wellington Dam as a drinking water source.

[9] Expand funding into clean alternative energy solutions, with an emphasis on renewable energy.

[10] Increase funding and support for environmental advancement research.
