The AUSTRALIAN PROTECTIONIST PARTY WA (INC) is committed to providing every Western Australian with a standard of education in line with or exceeding world's best practices.

This encompasses competency in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.

We will ensure students are offered courses that direct them towards an education that is most suitable for their intended career given their individual levels of academia.

WE PROPOSE:

[1] Restructure administration and place a stronger emphasis on literacy, numeracy, respect and responsibility.

[2] Lift the standing of teachers in the community by ensuring that the best possible support and resources are made available. And ensure that teachers are fully trained to teach the subjects that they instruct on.

[3] Remove "political correctness" from the school system. A teacher's role is to teach and to impart information, they are not social engineers.

[4] Re-introduce discipline at schools.

[5] Stop truancy by holding parents responsible for their child's attendance, and establishing special courses for regularly truant children.

[6] University courses to be made available at a strategic number set by the projected numbers of graduates needed within Western Australian society, which will be available free to Australian citizens only.

[7] Free TAFE courses aimed to enhance job prospects, available to Australian citizens only.

[8] Increased funding to universities and TAFE colleges to ensure the best possible educational result.

[9] Free education for Australian citizens in all government schools, TAFE colleges and universities.
