Buying AUSTRALIAN-MADE keeps jobs in Australia
When you buy goods that are Australian-made, you are supporting Australian factories and farmers. This means you keep jobs in Australia, keeping your family and friends in work, and that means more money circulates within our nation, thus increasing employment prospects for Aussies.
Buying AUSTRALIAN-OWNED keeps profits in Australia
When you buy goods made by Australian-owned companies, this means that Australians benefit from the profits made. Instead of profits going overseas (often to huge multi-national corporations) they stay in Australia and can be re-invested here, creating more local jobs.
Buying AUSSIE-MADE and AUSSIE-OWNED is best of all
Buying products that are both Australian-made and Australian-owned keeps both jobs and profits in Australia, which gives a huge boost to the number of jobs available, and increases our money turnover, enabling our businesses to survive and expand, thus creating even more and more jobs for Australians.

Support Australian businesses. Why?
Because Australian-owned companies:
- Keep profits in Australia (= more jobs).
- Employ more Australians (= more jobs).
- Buy more Aussie-made products (= more jobs).
- Pay more taxes than multi-national companies do (= more jobs and more services).
85% of foods are imported or foreign-owned
85% of foodstuffs in our supermarkets are either imported or come from foreign-owned companies. In Japan, 98% of supermarket products are owned by Japanese businesses. This indicates the huge level of profits that are being sent overseas from Australia, instead of staying here and creating more jobs.
Balanced trade required
Whilst trade is a necessary component of every economy, it is far better that it is carried out in a balanced fashion, with about the same amount of goods, services, and profits coming in as are going out. Instead, every day about $100 million more leaves Australia than comes in; this is creating a terrible long-term economic loss for our nation.
There is a huge difference between "open slather free trade" (which is destructive of our economy) and "sensible free trade" (which is protective of our economy).
It's time for every fair-dinkum Aussie to do their bit for Australia by buying Australian-made and Australian-owned products whenever possible.
