Woman stoned to death under Islamic law
should be a wake-up call for Australia
The news of a young woman in Somali being stoned to death brings Islamic laws to world attention once again. In this case, the woman (aged 13 according to her father, although the Somali media said she was 23) reported that she was raped by three men; however the Islamic logic used there, in the absence of witnesses to confirm her story, means that therefore she is guilty of "adultery" (1). So she was stoned to death, a nasty practice where the victims are partly buried in the ground and then stoned with rocks of a small size - to ensure they suffer a slow and painful death (2).
In some Islamic places, people can be executed for "insulting religious sanctities and laws" - a concept similar to Liberal-Labor's vilification laws (3). Death by stoning is one extreme of Sharia law; there are lesser Islamic laws as well, but do we want them in Western countries? Sharia law is not applied in the same way across all Islamic countries, but nonetheless it is not the sort of "justice" system that we would want in Australia.
Already, Muslim groups in England, Scotland and Canada are pushing for elements of Sharia law to be implemented or officially recognised - this is what logically happens when a country gets a sizable and growing Muslim population. It is one of the elements of Islamification.
The implication of this situation is that when the Labor government imports large numbers of Muslim immigrants (as did the Liberal party), that Australia will end up with a sizable Muslim population, one that will grow via further immigration and high birth rates. A much larger Muslim population raises two potential problems: 1) a push for the introduction of elements of Islamic law, and 2) the existence of larger numbers of fundamentalists and extremists - giving a higher potential for terrorist activities to happen in Australia.
Multiculturalist governments have encouraged and supported Muslim immigration in the naive belief that the Islamicists will leave their radical beliefs, fundamentalism, and extremism outside our borders. Multiculturalists hope that a radical Muslim minority will never carry out terrorist bombings in Australian cities, despite the lessons learnt in New York, London and Madrid - hard lessons that involved bombs, disfiguring injuries and many deaths. What about the extremist Muslims arrested in Australia for planning terrorist attacks? How long until we get some terrorists that are not caught in time?
The reality of hard-line Islam shows us the dangers inherent in continuing Multiculturalism and Third World immigration. It is time we stopped listening to the Rainbow brigade - we need to protect Australia instead.
